stupid skeleton
You were an ant crawling across my skin
Just one or two
And I lay in the grass watching, bemused
As you explored my crevices and corners.
You sought out the honey from every part of me
You ate all of my crumbs one by one
And you were so tiny
That I watched from above
Unconcerned
Until you were everywhere
And you stripped the flesh from my bones
While I let you
Still thinking you only an ant.
